    from member institutions that apply on behalf of individuals Can I apply to more than one member institution at the time No you can only apply to one member institution at the time You must in other words find out why KHiB is the appropriate institution for your project through familiarizing yourself with our current research e g through our website Should you want to apply to one of the other institutions then you will need to check out their websites as the member institutions research areas differ substantially The application process also differs slightly between the member institutions Consult http artistic research no for the list of all member institutions What is the difference is between KHiB and the Norwegian Artistic Research Fellowship Programme KHiB is one of the member institutions whereas the Norwegian Artistic Research Fellowship Programme is national and for all its member institutions The programme and KHiB do not only have different websites but different tasks different administrations and different boards Would I get a formal PhD by successfully completing a Norwegian Artistic Research Fellowship You would obtain an Associate Professor qualification førsteamanuensis in Norwegian Senior Lecturer in the UK but not a PhD degree What is meant by Please include a formal academic qualification as a lecturer could you give any examples as what this means If you are employed as a Lecturer then you should enclose a confirmation of this e g your work contract with the institution Those not employed as Lecturers may send documentation of relevant professional experience such as participation in exhibitions competitions assignments commissions and or learning and teaching experience beyond MA level for assessment of your qualifications I do not have and am not yet studying for a PhD however I am currently teaching at a university would that present a problem Your current teaching is not a problem as long as you are not employed as an Associate Professor If you are at Associate Professor level already then you will be deemed to be overqualified for admission I am very busy as a practicing artist designer What will happen to my career should I go for a fellowship The fellowship is a 100 post which is both too intense and demanding to conduct parallel projects that are unrelated to your fellowship project I want to apply through KHiB but I have trouble understanding the application process why are there so many deadlines The application process is comprehensive and highly competitive in 2014 KHiB received 27 expressions of interest by 1 September and 18 complete applications by the 1 December deadline KHiB submitted two applications to the programme by mid April and succeeded with one of them At KHiB we recommend that you submit an expression of interest by 1 September by way of a minimum of 500 words outlining your project idea what it is why it is important and a little bit about how you envisage to realise it You should enclose your CV There is no

  • How to Apply for The Norwegian Artistic Research Fellowship Programme
    Research Fellowship Programme through KHiB There is an annual public information meeting at KHiB Bergen and the 2015 information meeting took place on Wednesday 19 August at 13 00 pm About the fellowship programme Artistic research is at the centre of the programme Unlike an artist s grant to develop and exhibit one or more specific ideas you need to explain what why and how you want to research your ideas and you need to be able to define the relevant field of research in order for us to assess whether KHiB is the appropriate institution for your application and possibly recommend an alternative institution if not Please see Frequently Asked Questions FAQ on the top right menu About you as applicant You must have the following qualifications 1 Documented recognised artistic activity development of high international standard 2 MA from Norway or abroad or corresponding documented knowledge Please include a formal academic qualification as a lecturer Should you not have one then you will need to attach the relevant documentation of your artistic achievements for assessment Should you already have completed a PhD in a related area or have received recognition as a senior lecturer then you are over qualified and cannot apply About the application process Submit an outline of the project minimum 500 words and your CV by email by 1st September at the latest to KHiB Adviser for Art and Design Research and Development sol sneltvedt at khib no We will then contact you in September October The rest of the application process runs until June the following year and includes the important dates listed below Date Activity 1 September Deadline offer to submit of minimum 500 word outline of your projectidea and your CV to Research Adviser 1 December Deadline submission of a complete draft
